The Path for Artificial Intelligence

There are two paths currently artificial intelligence can take, The first is not too hard to imagine. The developers of AI wish to monetize their product. They want to make money delivering . . . what?
This is the active question. The short answer is: delivering the same thing that commercial ventures have always delivered. (EMOTIONAL SATISFACTION).

What is emotional satisfaction? In a nutshell it is the placation of fear. Humans don’t like to think we are afraid. But fear is a very primal and instinctive reaction. Our early ancestors who didn’t fear the sabre toothed tiger at the mouth of the cave didn’t survive to procreate. That formula not only works for tigers. It works for everything that might hinder or end our path to procreation. This applies to both individuals and our species. More on this in later posts, but for now we can think of fear as the evolved reaction that has allowed the most intelligent of us to survive. That applies to both emotional and intellectual intelligence.

I hope this adds a bit of context when I say once again that: what sells always delivers (EMOTIONAL SATISFACTION).
